Hello,First than anything I'm Mexican and as you know my native language is Spanish, so my apologies in advance for any mistake. The book so far so good, I say that because at the moment I'm reading it and I haven't finished, It's a very complete book that can help anybody even if you are not an expert at using Project, it's because it explains in depth detail step by step what you have to do and gives you very important advice in the use of the Software and techniques used by Project Managers. One think I don't really like is that the book was thought to be read only for Project Managers and actually I'm not a Project Manager but that doesn't mean I'm not able to manage projects as good or even better as a Project manajer would do it, I'm just only an engineer 27 years old guy who wants to learn as much as I can.By the way, Thanks to Amazon because it was the only mean by which I could get the book.

Driving your project through resource availability is, when dealing with those who own a project's budget or are responsible for it's deliverables, pointless. The powers that be want hard dates. Resource availability changes are not something they are interested in changing their delivery schedule and/or connected processes or projects for. That being said, there is a TON of great ideas on how to utilize Dynamic Scheduling to order tasks based on resource availability as opposed to hard dependencies. Some of this type of information has proven to be useful. Still, it goes against what most managers and team members are used to. Implementing this scheduling approach involves as much OCM as it does learning and mastering the approach yourself, as well as the tool.

The authors provide a good methodology for scheduling. The exercises get a bit heavy at times with step by step through the menus. However if you want the basics of Project coupled with how to schedule a project this is a good start.

This book has greatly helped me fill in my MS Project knowledge gaps. It is meant for a professional audience versus an academic audience. I liked that 1) it targets only scheduling, not all MS Project capabilities, 2) it is relevant to my work as a project manager. It is frequently flipped open on my desk and has answered more questions than it has created.

This is the best book I've read about it. It's objective, complete and presents the information with good examples and useful tips.

It is rather professional book for strater and mid-experienced PMs.It helped me to have a good overview and details if needed.

Fabulous reference book

This is still the leading text even though there is not a lot of substantive changes compared with the previous edition.
