I think this Bible is extremely watered down. I know it's supposed to be for early-readers, but even early readers can handle more depth. It paraphrases all of the stories and does not give any of the rich details that are in the Bible. I usually end up telling the whole story with my own memorized scriptures while my 5 year old looks at the pictures.

Bought this for my 6 year old niece and she loved this bible and had read it cover to cover. She loves answering the questions and her favorite movies are the Bible series. She is now going on 8 and love to still read it and she even journals. It is such a blessing to see the heart of a child as they learn about Jesus and all He has done for us. I have a new grandson and he will be getting one of these some day too.

I purchased this for my 5 year old daughter. She loves the bible. She is able to read most of the words and loves the question section at the end of each story. The stories are real short and limited details so it can be written for a young reader. It isn't the best for advancing their knowledge of the bible stories; but is great for them to read on their own.

I bought this Bible for my 5-yr old g-baby. Even though she's not yet able to read, she wanted her own Bible to carry to Sunday school. The stories are short and written to keep a pre-schooler's attention. My g-baby loves to answer the questions at the end of each story. There are plenty of pictures throughout each story to help the young reader understand what's going on; they will love being able to identify Jesus, Moses, Noah, etc. This is a Bible that my g-baby will be able to use for several more years, so we will definitely get our money's worth from it.

I am very pleased with this book. The aim of the book is to make the stories from the Bible accessible to early readers, but for now, in my family, it is also making it easier for my children to understand when I read to them. I love the questions and exercises at the end of each chapter, as well. The number of stories and amount of content from the Bible is also satisfying.

I wanted something easy for my children to read and true to the stories of the bible and not some Jack and Jill nonsense. I'm pleased thus far. My kids were happy to be able to read it and my 6 & 7 yr old struggled to see who would read it first. The highlight for me as a parent is he questions in each section that will let us have a discussion about what they read while building on their vocabulary. They can learn about God, Jesus, read to their little brother (confidence booster) and return to school ahead on vocabulary building...WIN.Only con is no beautiful brown faces in the illustrations, but that's not new to me.

Perfect for my daughter who is a beginning reader. The stories are short, three pages each, with plenty of colorful pictures. Not overwhelming. I love the simple language it uses. She is so excited to be able to read her own Bible.

Great beginner bible for young readers!! I bought this for my 5 year old grand daughter. She loves the stories and it opens up great conversations. In my opinion we can never have enough God in our lives!!!! Love

This is a wonderfully written and well put together book! It offers basically all the instruction you need when making your own dairy products, especially if you're a beginner like me! This was my first book ever on making my own cheese, butter and yoghurt and I love it. The Home Creamery makes things easy and simple. The book beautiful inside and out and it arrived promptly. You should try this, it might even save you a few bucks on groceries and keep your favourite dairy products chemical and preservative free! Wonderful buy and I would definitely buy another if I had any friends into this stuff like I am!!

"Why pay others when I can do it myself", is a belief I strongly feel about anything I can make in my kitchen or home. Surprisingly, this is a nice read, easy to follow recipes (for dairy, cheese and food recipes) and provides troubleshooting in case something goes wrong in your adventures. I also like how the book walks you through multiple methods to make your dairy or cheese products. This is a little gem of a how-to book and I'm both happy and pleased with the content within this book.

Great book. Lots of info written in a user friendly format. This is one of the very few cookbooks that has made it into my "keeper" collection.

I haven't made many of the recipes yet, but what I've read so far sounds and looks good. The instructions for butter were not only easy but worked EXACTLY as described in this book. If the rest of the recipes work the same way I'll be very happy with this it.

The book is written to be simple to understand by anyone. The recipes are easy to put together and simple to make. No extra baggage and wording to sound like the author is talking down to you. It is a great start to a new way of eating, and removing garbage foods from your life. Most of the recipes are simple and require little time to make.

I really like this book for making all kinds of milk products. It easily explains everything. The recipes are no brainers. I make butter and buttermilk. Soft cheeses like goat, marscaponie, cream, sour cream. I am looking forward to trying other recipes. It's really fun.

I enjoy the book, but it does not give me additional information when I am not so taken with the results. For example, I like the mozzarella, but would like more information as to how to make a softer cheese like I sometimes get at the supermarket. My results were much firmer than I had wanted.Nice place to start, but teaches little. It's basically a recipe book for cheese.

This is a great book. The recipes are easy to follow. And they work great !!! I use it all the time !!! Very helpful .

As a companion to the theory book, this one provides the practical application tools we needed. We are just starting our ranch and have 500 things we wish had been completed yesterday. This approach helps us take a deep breath and guides the process of deciding what we should focus on now, and what can wait a bit. With the tools provided, we hope to still be in business in 5 years, and have a thriving ranch to boot!

This book is based on the exercises of Allan Savory and those who have restored dessert areas to savannahs and grasslands in Africa. It details how to use these type of practices on a ranch or farm setting in order to maintain/restore healthy soil and livestock.I had been looking for methods like this in order to reduce cost I needed to put into my animals and the land while restoring the health of of both. It is a dry read but it's useful.

This book is not cheap, but has tons of good info on how to set up a program to heal you native rangelands. I have only started to use this last year on our farm and so far have seen improvments, rather small, but improvements. I really think that this book gives you the tools to improve your soils and your grass. Good for any rancher, or farmer with animals.

Managing Holistically has changed my life. This textbook is an excellent guide. Well written, well explained - it has pride of place in my book collection. I'll probably re-read it a thousand times. I don't farm and the book is still completely relevant to Holistically Managing my life and my business. Just excellent.

I think this book offers a lot of practical help and a way forward to land in arid environments.

A useful adjunct to Allan Savory's Holistic Management book. Gives worksheets and plans; works like a course handout.I wouldn't buy this without Holistic Management.

The information is solid in this book, though aimed at larger scale graziers than me. Don't do what I did and buy the kindle version; there's too many tables and maps which just aren't as usable that way. For most graziers, Salad Bar Beef by Salatin will tell you all you need to know

There was a lot of info on money, land & animal management, breeds, and choices. Since it was written for newbies, sometimes the detail was too much. Also, though it was written with an environmental mind-frame, that didn't get in the way of the nuts & bolts that I was looking for.

Was a good read though a little short,but I knew that when I bought it. Learned some neat stuff. If you are interested in led lights . Its a good read. You wont learn everything but it will peek your curiosity. I be leave it was worth the price and the read.

Good book to do LED lighting projects

Gave as gift. The children had a good time making things!!

 This is a great book for getting new crafty ideas that glow. You have to have batteries (2032 disk batteries) and LED's on hand, and in some cases some other special items, copper foil for one. Since I also do stained glass I had copper foil available... you can get it at stained glass shops and online. Other projects you can improvise on parts.Projects are fun and all center around the effect of the LED's. They go from easy to hard. I think most kids will be able to do them. My kindergartner watched me make a circuit with the foil and he was able to duplicate what I did and make his LED work too, but I think this book is geared to kids a bit older.Some of the projects feel a little repetitive in the easy section, you can make a ghost with glowing eyes, or a monster with glowing eyes, or a bug with glowing eyes.... you get the picture, but the LED part is great fun for kids and takes crafting to a whole other level. You don't have to have the exact parts for some of the projects, and this book leaves some room for improvisation.My older son was inspired by the book to do a constellation project with LED's for 4H, where he'll wire up the back of a foam board with the batteries and the LED's will pop through the front showing the big dipper, then he will write up a little fact sheet about each star and the constellation.

As a former home schooling parent (my kids are grown now, but will always be life-long learners!), this is just the kind of book I love. Hands-on learning is the best way for retaining information. There's nothing better to make science fun that combining it with art & crafting!Since my husband has been working on lighting up his LEGO city, we already have most of the pieces for the 20+ projects in this book, but you can easily find all of them right here on Amazon, or a local electronics store, and the components are very reasonably priced. I was thrilled to be able to receive this book because I'm a crafter and I've been meaning to make greeting cards that light up. It's also a great way for us to spend time working on the projects with my niece and nephew.The projects are appealing to three levels of experience, so there's something for all ages. And will be useful for years if your kids are smaller.I love that each of the 4 chapters in this book focus on a 'purpose', thus, helping kids to think about future career paths for the skills they will be acquiring. Chapter 1) Glowies and Throwies - light things up, including a glow-dart game. Chapter 2) Paper Circuits - folding & taping simple circuits (exactly what I need for cardmaking!) Chapter 3) Soft Circuitry and Wearables - Clothing and lighting? How fun is that?! Chapter 4) Twist, Solder, Tape & Hack - Advancing your skills by bringing it all together.You could probably do some of these projects with smaller kids, but I'd recommend it for an advanced eight year old or average ten year old and up.You can find the circuit stickers here on Amazon. Just search for "Chibitronics" or 'Circuit Stickers". They're a little on the expensive side, but I imagine that's because there is really nothing else like it out there. SeedStudio seems to have some, but similarly priced. This is the only reason the book got 4 and not 5 stars from me - the projects using the circuit stickers were designed by the founder of Chibitronics. I feel like it's a bit of a sales push.What I love about this book it that it's appealing equally to boys and girls. It's not demeaning to girls by being dumbed down, and the projects are interesting to anyone.

Fun book for the entire family. Does a great job of teaching the basics of LEDs and how to light them up and use them. The projects are all actually very simple and easy to do. A lot of fun for all skill levels. I would have liked to see some more advanced projects (like putting LEDs into paintings or working with furniture etc.) but you can take the knowledge you learn in this book and apply it to more advanced projects. We love LEDs in our home. From night lights to accent lighting and everything in between we have a ton of LED lights in our home. My kids are having a blast with the ideas in this book and I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of DYI LED projects.

I love the "Make" do-it-yourself project books, because the projects are fun, even as they teach scientific principles. In MAKE IT GLOW: LED PROJECTS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY, the focus is on connecting button-sized, 3-volt, lithium coin-cell batteries (CR2032 batteries) to LEDs with metal wires, threads, and tapes, in order to create one-way circular pathways (circuits).I'm always pleased to see projects that may trigger an interest in science in a young girl, and this book has several (e.g., awesome ornaments, shooting star card, power cuff, fairy wings, glue-jewel royal crown). The clear step-by-step instructions are profusely illustrated with color photos, and are very easy to follow. The spiral binding lets the pages stay open and lie completely flat.One cautionary note: "Children working on the activities in this book will often need adult supervision. Depending on the project, participants may be asked to use craft knives, hot-glue guns, needles, soldering irons, and other tools that will require oversight."You can purchase 2032 batteries cheaply in bulk from many Amazon sellers; and other materials are readily available for purchase at retail hardware and crafts stores, or online.
