This was a cute story. I have read several of her books and enjoyed them. I will recommend her books to anyone.
Zara is trying to make it on her own without working at her family Indian restaurant so she’s in a swin show and occasionally house sits. She lands a house sitting job in a mansion on the cliffs for three months which pays well and she needs the money but the first day when she walks in she meets Prince Noah who is hiding out from his family and the press since he made a scandal and wants it go away. Zara and Noah agree to a friendship he want let his family know he is there so she can keep the money she needs and she will try to shield him from the press. When things begin to heat up everything blows up, Noah’s family finds out where he is and demands he return to his country until things blow over and help support his family. Can Zara and Noah work things out so that they can be together
What happens when you add a runaway prince hiding from the paparazzi to a non-traditional Indian from a very traditional Indian family? A seemingly impossible situation. Because she isn't King approved and he isn't a nice Indian man. Dealing with protocol and repairing reputations on the royal side seemed to be never ending and what is an Indian family to do with a prince? So many problems. Can it ever be resolved?I liked Noah and Zara as main characters. I was angry with Noah's royal parents and loved his brother, sister and her fiance. I wasn't sure what to think of Zara's family and would love to have been privy to all that happened in one afternoon to bring about a happily ever after. What was in the text from his parents that he ignored?I liked that the conflict wasn't the two main characters being stupid but dealing with all the things out of their control was. And I liked Noah taking things into his own hands in the end.But what comes next for them? Does Noah continue as a volunteer or does he get even more "normal" and get a job? Will he and Zara have royal duties? Does she keep working as she has been?I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to write a review.
THE PRINCE BRIDE ...Liz IsaacsonZara was grateful for the jobs she gets, without having to work in the family restaurant.. Also doing house sitting.this one was up on the bluffs, for three months. She is bring her cat Whitney, and he sounds like trouble. The code failed, a dog growled and then seeing Noah who has come to get away from women. This was his family’s home, and now wondering if his mom hired her.He didn’t want his mother or anyone to know he was here. Seeing if they could come to some kind of an arrangement. With her to keep paparazzi away and bring up groceries it just might work. One drawback he hated cats.It was comical, the difference, and coming to terms that it was love, and he did need a house of his own with a yard, and with Zara. He loved snuggling with her on the beach, so a home on the beach they would look for.Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
So Zara is a lovely girl, working in an unusual occupation and she supplements her income by house sitting. She lands a job sitting in a lovely home, but she she gets there, the son of the owners has already moved in. It turns out that he's a prince. They are attracted to each other but try to remain unentangled. He decides to stay permanently and wants to relinquish his responsibilities as a prince. The problem I had with this story was that he's planning a long term relationship with Zara, making plans to give up his role as prince, and hasn't even told her that he loves her. I still enjoyed the story as, I do with all of the author's work.
Zara a Noah are sooo much fun, I love that her family is huge and boisterous and I love the way Noah is hiding out and I love the whole book. This is a super fun book, makes you wonder if it will work out for these two? Will it? Well read it and see!! A prince and a synchronized swimmer, just seems impossible especially adding in Zara's overbearing family!! I recommend this book to anyone looking for a clean read with no cliff hangers and love a series where you don't have to read them in order or even read any other books. Elana is a wonderful author and this book did not disappoint!
Good, clean, short read from Elana Johnson! Noah and Zara both have family traditions and obligations that they respect but they want to live their own lives. Noah is hiding out running from bad publicity when he meets Zara. Zara is doing everything she can to keep from working in her family’s restaurant. When Noah is called home for family obligations and can’t get in touch with Zara he realizes that he loves her and that love is worth fighting for. Don’t miss this book in the Getaway Bay Brides and Beaches series.
A great read. Two adults who genuinely love and admire their families try to find their own places amid the restrictions placed on them. Also a reminder not to believe the surface of everything we see. Need to trust "who" we know the person to be rather than what the media is saying. Give people a chance to trust you enough to really see who they are before you write them off and shove them into a labeled box.I read an ARC copy of this book & found that it is one I would have chosen anyway.
